Coffee and the inquisition
Good morning,
also BOO!
I found this guy yesterday at the thrift shop. I got him for $1.
He lives here on my book shelf.
I'm thinking of driving outside the city today to hit a couple more thrift shops. Something is telling me to go to the big Value Village an hour away out of the city. Something is telling me I will find something cool. If not, it's an afternoon drive, and a truck stop doughnut treat.
Now onto the song shuffle which is by Skinny Puppy,
off their 1992 album Last Rites, with the song Inquisition.
Before I get to posting the great live video of the song, I just want to say how this album by them, Last Rites, just takes me back. It was the very first thing I got from them. Does anyone remember those Columbia House mail in deals that would come in the mail? Get X amount of cassettes for a dollar or something like that? My family would go splits on the...(believe it was 10 tapes) and mail it in. So we all got a cassette we wanted. Then we would cancel. Then the next time it came around, we would get another member to fill it out, like instead of my mother this time, it would be me, then cancel then next time my father etc.
So this Skinny Puppy tape was in there, and I remember one night when I was taping the radio show that would come on CBC called Brave New Waves, they interviewed the members of Skinny Puppy (fact, they were a new wave band called Images In Vogue, then quit to start Skinny Puppy: )
and from that point I was hooked. Anyway, here's them preforming Inquisition live.
You can check out their work on bandcamp
