Coffee, thrifting and The Shadow Ring
Good morning,
I need the big coffee today! Ah, Monday mornings after great weekends.
Live everyday like it's Friday though is my moto. Just let me wake up first :D.
So first I want to introduce you all to the new typewriter in the mix that I got thrift shopping out in the country on Sunday.
A Brother Accord 12, also came with the original receipt, (covered the last owner's name and address)
Last night's freewriting and this morning's poem was typed up on it. I like this one a lot. Soon and I ran my fingers over it's keys at the thrift shop, and heard it clack I bought it. I couldn't get out of the store quick enough with it. I know it sounds funny, but anyone who collects typewriters comes to realize, some of them have different 'clack' sounds. My 60s typewriter, you have to hammer the keys and it's much deeper. My electric one has more of a mechanical light sound, this new Brother has almost that classic middle ground clack that makes me think of writers and journalists typing up something. I love it. Each seems to give their own vibes with me.
Anyway, enough of me talking about my beloved typewriters, let's break it up with this beautiful picture I took at a look out place out in the country yesterday. It is like an autumn dreamscape.
Okay, autumn interlude out of the way, lets get onto the song shuffle of the day, which is going to be done with another thing I picked up out there, an LG old phone. It only runs 2g, can't seem to have a reliable connection to the internet, but I love the built in planner, notes and it displays books and gives an amazing sound as an mp3 player. I slip in a memory card that holds every one of my MP3s for the most part, save a few albums that I didn't put on there, and I think I'm going to use this as my music player. I also love how you can record off the radio on this too.
Anyway, lets run it for the song shuffle today...
